Habakkuk didn’t start with praise
Your clients are rehearsing worst-case scenarios. They’re worried about finances, health, relationships, business, or a calling that feels stuck. Many of them have already said it: “I know I should trust God more.” They need more than reassurance. They need to encounter God’s faithfulness in the middle of their fear. Habakkuk knew that place. He started with a complaint: “O LORD, how long shall I cry for help, and you will not hear?” (Habakkuk 1:2, ESV). He argued. He waited at the watchpost. Only then did he write, “yet I will rejoice in the LORD” (Habakkuk 3:18, ESV). This 45-minute coaching session follows the same order. Your client names the fear first. Then they choose the “yet.” You’ll walk them from the “what if” thoughts they keep replaying to a real, grounded declaration of who God is. The session honors their fear instead of dismissing it, and leads them to solid ground. Inside, you’ll find everything: the coach guide with context and spiritual posture, a timed session flow with what to say and ask, a caution page for when referral is needed, and a client worksheet you can brand and send home with them. It’s all here and ready to use with your next worried client.
A “yet” that’s chosen, not performed
A performed “yet” says the right words so the conversation can move on, and the fear goes back underground. A chosen “yet” comes after the fear has been heard. This session helps your client get to the second one, in four steps they can see on paper: 1. The Inventory of Loss: they name the worst case they’ve been rehearsing. 2. The “Yet” Pivot: they see what the “what if” spiral has been doing. 3. The Transformation Chart: they find the fear underneath and the “God is” truth that answers it. 4. Walking in Hind’s Feet: they leave with one steady, faithful step for today.
